6. Membership period, level & qualifying purchases
6.1 The membership programme at Strawberry has four membership levels: Blue, Silver, Gold and Platinum.
6.2 A membership period lasts for 12 months from the month that members registered their membership.
6.3 During the membership period, members have the opportunity to qualify for a higher level. Members who are promoted to a higher level will receive this level straight away during the current period and members retain this level for the next member period (the subsequent 12 months). The calculation of the qualifying purchases reverts to zero at the end of the member period.
6.4 Qualifying purchases are equal to qualifying nights that provide the opportunity to reach a higher level of membership. Only members’ own stays qualify.
6.4.1 Qualifying nights are not eligible for the following:
- The use of gift cards for specific products (without a specified value).
- Overnight stays booked but not used, i.e. no-shows.
- Overnight stays with “crew prices” (crew are members of staff, airline/train/boat staff or work teams).
- Free overnight stays – “complimentary” rooms.
- Overnight stays booked through online travel agencies (OTAs).
6.5 Qualification for a higher membership level occurs during each member period in accordance with the following regulations:
SILVER | 5 qualifying nights |
GOLD | 30 qualifying nights |
PLATINUM | 60 qualifying nights |
6.6 There are two Lifetime levels that can be reached. Qualification for Lifetime levels is calculated based on the entire membership period. Lifetime qualification are those membership periods where the level has been achieved through, for example, personal transactions, not via status matches, invitations, freezes or any other such ways.
Lifetime Gold | 8 qualifying periods with Gold membership or higher. |
Lifetime Platinum | 8 qualifying periods with Platinum membership. |
If members reach Lifetime levels, they will retain this as long as they do not terminate their membership. Members who have reached Lifetime Gold still have the opportunity to advance to Platinum during a member period, or reach Lifetime Platinum in the future according to the rules outlined above.
The lifetime bonus points earned up until these Terms & Conditions enter into force will count towards the calculation of your lifetime status.
6.7 Membership benefits pertaining to respective membership levels apply as set forth in the attachment to these membership terms and conditions.

7.2 Separate regulations, terms and conditions apply to Strawberry Mastercard. These terms and conditions will be sent along with the member’s first Strawberry Mastercard.
